Born and raised in Lancaster County, Dr.
Shellenberger began his veterinary career at Smoketown in 1978.
He has seen the practice grow from three veterinarians operating
out of an old garage to 19 veterinarians at 4 different
locations (none of which resemble a garage). Dr. Shellenberger
credits a great team of doctors and an excellent support staff
for the current success of the practice.
Dermatology, osteoarthritis in geriatric
patients, and reproduction are areas of special interest for Dr.
Shellenberger. With almost 30 years of clinical experience, Dr.
Shellenberger maintains an active role in the practice, also
serving as president of the corporation.
When not at the hospital, Dr. Shellenberger enjoys spending time
with his wife, Ann, his three daughters, their husbands, two
grandchildren, one grand-dog, and two grand-cats. He is an avid
boater on the Chesapeake Bay and, of course, enjoys eating
crabs. |
