surgeon who joined Smoketown Veterinary Hospital in 2005.
Previously, she was involved in a small-animal fellowship at the
Lititz Veterinary Clinic. She completed a residency at the
University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center prior to this and
taught surgery there as well.
Board-certification means Dr. Rabuffo is
recognized by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons
(ACVS). The ACVS requires veterinarians who wish to become
surgical specialists to complete a three-year residency, publish
research work, and pass a difficult examination. Dr. Rabuffo
has been a member of the ACVS since 2003.
Surgical repair of fractures is an area of
special interest for Dr. Rabuffo. She enjoys helping pets walk
again after severe trauma, such as happens when a pet is hit by
a car. Other areas of surgical expertise include the following:
Orthopedics
Exploratory surgery
Ear ablation
Soft palate surgery
Stenotic nares
Reconstructive surgery
Spleen/liver/gallbladder removal

In
her free time, Dr. Rabuffo enjoys spending time with her
