Board-certification means Dr. Rabuffo is recognized by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS).  The ACVS requires veterinarians who wish to become surgical specialists to complete a three-year residency, publish research work, and pass a difficult examination.  Dr. Rabuffo has been a member of the ACVS since 2003.

Surgical repair of fractures is an area of special interest for Dr. Rabuffo.  She enjoys helping pets walk again after severe trauma, such as happens when a pet is hit by a car.  Other areas of surgical expertise include the following:

Orthopedics
Exploratory surgery
Ear ablation
Soft palate surgery
Stenotic nares
Reconstructive surgery
Spleen/liver/gallbladder removal
Amputations

In her free time, Dr. Rabuffo enjoys spending time with her family.  Her husband is an equine veterinarian, and she has a daughter that was born in 2004.  She loves running and biking, and has completed three marathons to date.
