Dr. "Rafe" Knox joined Smoketown Veterinary
Hospital in 1998 and became a board-certified radiologist in
2004. He is recognized by the American College of Veterinary
Radiology (ACVR). The ACVR requires veterinarians who wish to
become specialists to complete a three-year residency and pass a
difficult written and oral examination.
Dr. Knox really likes the staff at
Smoketown. He says they are friendly, compassionate, and
dedicated. He also likes that his job is close to home, since
he spent several years commuting to and from Maryland.
At our hospital, Dr. Knox is responsible
for diagnostic ultrasounds. He also consults with our other
doctors using images obtained by our
digital radiology system.
Rafe is married to Lisa Knox, also a veterinarian at Smoketown.
They have two children, named Sarah and Will, and two pet cats,
named Elmo and Kit-Kit. In his free time, Rafe enjoys listening
to classical and rock music. He also completed four triathlons
in 2006!
